I believe that the word, when used accurately, carefully, and respectfully, is one of the most powerful tools in the world, far more powerful than we might initially imagine.

Literature has become a boundless space for me, a place where I explore what lies beyond paragraphs: the core of a person, and the search for answers to morally and ethically complex questions.

The path toward writing

I am a graduate of the Latvian Writers’ Union’s “Literary Academy” program.
I studied prose for two years under Ieva Melgalve, Ilze Jansone, and Ronalds Briežs, and poetry for two years under Ronalds Briežs and Ivars Šteinbergs.
