Thistles is the author’s debut collection of stories.

One of the characters in the book says:

“We can’t become someone’s convenient solution just because normal people don’t act that way. Remember – we are not normal people. And we never will be.”

These are harsh stories about extraordinary individuals who sometimes live among us, almost imperceptibly. They explore the dark corners of the human soul: loneliness, love, survival, fear, coming of age, and relationships with both the world around us and ourselves.
